The Raiders were successful last week in defeating the Ravens, because Coach Callahan finally realised what it was that got him to the SB last year. That was airing it out. In the Ravens game, the Raiders led by an injured Mirer hit enough big passes leading to scores and the lead. This lead caused the Ravens to change their game plan of going with the run and instead turn to their weakness the pass. Jamal Lewis still though was able to rush for over 100 yards. So that win was not necessarily due to their shutting down Baltimores running game. Their change to an open Off , rather than ball control with Mirer . Is what led to their victory. If they are to succeed tonight, they will have to do the same to GB who also like the Ravens rely on the run. They will need to score early and then control the game with their rush attack. GB and Farve have not been so successful in pulling those great come from behind wins as in the past, and it showed in his throwing of many ints. Put the game in Bretts hands and he can get you a victory in a close game. But if he is to be relied upon early and often in this one, I dont see how he will be able to beat the Raiders as he is not in GB and he is not the young Farve of SB days. Also, with the death of his father hanging over him , have to wonder if that never say die attitude, may have been released from his spirits because of this tragic event. It may not be their all game long, giving the Raiders the advantage. Even if the old Farve shows up in the late mins of the game, it might be to late to overcome that Raider led constantly fueled by the hostile environment called Raider Nation.
